Abstract

Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan luas permukaan serta volume pada prisma dan limas. Kajian ini dilakukan di kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Tanjungpinang dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 20 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara singkat guru mata pelajaran serta metode tes sebanyak lima soal berbentuk uraian yang disusun melalui diskusi antara guru mata pelajaran dan penulis. Jawaban siswa dianalisis menggunakan dua perspektif (dual mode) kesalahan, menurut Watson dan Sukirman. Kesalahan siswa dalam perspektif Watson terdiri atas delapan kategorisasi yaitu: data tidak tepat, prosedur tidak tepat, data hilang, kesimpulan hilang, konflik level respon, manipulasi tidak langsung, masalah hierarki keterampilan, dan selain ketujuh kategori di atas. Sedangkan kesalahan siswa dalam perspektif Sukirman terdiri atas dua kategorisasi yaitu: kesalahan yang bersifat sistematis dan konsisten, serta kesalahan yang bersifat insidental. Hasil analisis menunjukkan persentase dari setiap kesalahan pada kategori kesalahan Watson yaitu data tidak tepat sebesar 18,54%, prosedur tidak tepat sebesar 36,42%, data hilang sebesar 10,60%, kesimpulan hilang sebesar 5,30%, konflik level respon sebesar 5,30%, manipulasi tidak langsung sebesar 13,24%, masalah hirarki keterampilan sebesar 10,60% dan kesalahan selain ketujuh kategori di atas sebesar 0%. Sedangkan persentase dari kesalahan berdasarkan kategorisasi kesalahan Sukirman adalah kesalahan sistematis dan konsisten sebesar 41,72% serta kesalahan insidental sebesar 58,28%. Kata Kunci : dual mode error analysis, kategori kesalahan Watson dan Sukirman This study aims at recognizing the types of error emerged by the students while solving problems on the topic of area and volume of prism and pyramid. This study was conducted at class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Tanjungpinang including 20 students. Data collection was undertaken by conducting interview with mathematics teacher and posing a test containing five essay problems constructed based on discussion among teacher and researcher. Students’ answers were analyzed by using dual mode error analysis: Watson and Sukirman. Error types based on Watson are: inappropriate data, inappropriate procedure, omitted data, omitted conclusion, response level conflict, undirected manipulation, skills hierarchy problem, error other than previous seven. Error type based on Sukirman are: systematic and consistent error, and incidental error. The result showcased the percentages of emerging error based on Watson are: inappropriate data 18.54%, inappropriate procedure 36.42%, omitted data 10.60%, omitted conclusion 5.30%, response level conflict 5.30%, undirected manipulation 13.24%, skills hierarchy problem 10.60%, and others 0%. On the other hand, the percentages of error based on Sukirman are: systematic and consistent error 41.72%, and incidental error 58.28%. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh prestasi akademik mata kuliah kependidikan terhadap kemampuan pedagogik mahasiswa PPL 2. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Program Studi Tadris Matematika IAIN Mataram dengan sampel sebanyak 115 mahasiswa yang mengikuti PPL 2. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari pedoman dokumentasi dan lembar observasi kemampuan pedagogik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat (1) pengaruh prestasi akademik mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Desain Pembelajaran Matematika terhadap kemampuan pedagogik mahasiswa PPL 2, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan diperoleh nilai t sebesar 0,032 dan taraf signifikansi kurang dari 0,05; (2) pengaruh prestasi akademik mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Workshop Matematika terhadap kemampuan pedagogik mahasiswa PPL 2, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan diperoleh nilai t sebesar 0,039 dan taraf signifikansi kurang dari 0,05; (3) pengaruh prestasi akademik mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Strategi Belajar Mengajar matematika terhadap kemampuan pedagogik mahasiswa PPL 2, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan diperoleh nilai t sebesar 0,025 dan taraf signifikansi kurang dari 0,05; (4) pengaruh prestasi akademik mahasiswa pada mata kuliah desain pembelajaran matematika, Workshop Matematika dan Strategi Belajar Mengajar Matematika secara bersamaan terhadap kemampuan pedagogik mahasiswa PPL 2, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan diperoleh nilai t sebesar 0,032 dan taraf signifikansi kurang dari 0,05. Kata kunci: prestasi akademik, kemampuan pedagogik, PPL 2 The aim of this study is to describe the effect of academics achievement on education-content related course towards pedagogic skill of higher education students of PPL 2. The type of the study was correlational based experimental research. This study was conducted in mathematics study programme of IAIN Mataram examining 115 students as sample who followed PPL 2. Research instruments included documentation guide and observation sheet on pedagogic skill. The result shows that there are (1) effect of academic achievement of students who followed Mathematics Learning Design course towards PPL 2 students’ pedagogic skill, this was proved by the t value of 0.032 and significance rate less than 0.05; (2) effect of academic achievement of students who followed Mathematics Workshop course towards PPL 2 students’ pedagogic skill, this was proved by t value of 0.039 and significance rate less than 0.05; (3) effect of academic achievement of students who followed Mathematics Teaching and Learning Strategy course towards PPL 2 students’ pedagogic skill, this was proved by t value of 0.025 and significance rate less than 0.05; (4) effect of academic achievement of students who followed Mathematics Workshop course and Mathematics Teaching and Learning Strategy course simultaneously towards PPL 2 students’ pedagogic skill, this was proved by by t value of 0.032 and significance rate less than 0.05. Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan hal yang penting namun siswa yang menguasai konsep matematika tidak dengan sendirinya pintar dalam mengoneksikan matematika. Koneksi matematis merupakan suatu keterampilan yang harus dibangun dan dipelajari. Kegiatan penyelesaian masalah kontekstual merupakan aktivitas yang membantu siswa untuk dapat mengetahui hubungan berbagai konsep dalam matematika dan mengaplikasikan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pendekatan keterampilan proses pada hakikatnya adalah suatu pengelolaan kegiatan belajar-mengajar yang berfokus pada pelibatan siswa secara aktif dan kreatif dalam proses pemerolehan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi siswa tentang pembelajaran pendekatan keterampilan proses terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam pengajaran matematika pada pokok bahasan Lingkaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Wanaraja dan untuk sampel dipilih satu kelas yang diambil secara acak, yaitu kelas VIII-A. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan instrumen yang terdiri dari tes kemampuan koneksi berupa tes uraian (tes akhir) yang sebelumnya di uji cobakan kepada siswa kelas 1X-A di SMP Negeri 1 Wanaraja dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan korelasi Rank Sperman dan dilanjutkan dengan uji t,dari perhitungan diperoleh Ho ditolak, artinya Ha diterima sehingga terdapat pengaruh yang positif persepsi siswa tentang pembelajaran pendekatan keterampilan proses (PKP) terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Sedangkan untuk analisis kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa secara keseluruhan berinterpretasi baik dan persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses menunjukan interpretasi yang baik pula. However, it is not all students who master mathematical concepts, master to create such mathematical connection. Mathematical connection is an ability that should be emerged and learned. A contextual problem solving activity is an activity that can help students to recognize the connection between concepts in mathematics and to utilize mathematics in everyday life. A process skill based approach is an organizing activity around teaching leraning which focuses on student engagement both actively and creatively in a learning outcome acquisition. This study was conducted in order to get information about the effect of students’ perception on learning activity by using a process skill approach towards students’ ability of mathematical connection on the topic of circle. The frame of study was an experiment. The population of the study were 8th graders of SMP Negeri 1 Wnaraja. The sample was determined randomly, and it was students of VIII-A. The instrument of the study was test of connection ability in form of essay (posttest) which was tested prior to study to students of IX-A of the same school. The questionnaire was another instrument which was used throughout the study. Data analysis was conducted by using Rank Sperman correlation followed by t-test. From the calculation, it was obtained that Ho was rejected, which meant that Ha was accepted simultaneously implying that there was a positive effect on students’ perception about learning activity which used a process skill approach towards students’ mathematical connection ability. On the other hand, based on the analysis, it was shown that students’ mathematical connection ability was generally interpreted ‘good’ as well as the students’ perception on this process skill approeached-learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristic. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini dipilih dua siswa dari kelas penelitian yaitu kelas X SMAN 2 Batang Anai. Subjek yang dipilih dalam merupakan siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika tinggi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemecahan masalah dan wawancara. Hal ini dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah penerapa model pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristic. Berdasarkan hasil deskripsi dan analisis data, dapat dilihat perkembangan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa meningkat pada saat dilakukan tes akhir. Pada hasil penilaian berdasarkan rubrik pemecahan masalah matematika, diperoleh tingkat kategori sangat memuaskan dengan indikator pencapaian: memahami soal dengan benar, rencana strategi penyelesaian yang benar, mengarah pada jawaban yang benar dan adanya pengecekan kembali hasil perhitungan, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran LAPS-Heuristic berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas X SMAN 2 Batag Anai. Kata kunci: kesulitan matematika, pemecahan masalah, LAPS-Heuristic This research aims to determine the increase in mathematics problem solving ability of students through learning model LAPS-Heuristic. Type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were selected two students from class research that is class X SMAN 2 Batang Anai. Subjects selected were the students who have high math skills. Data were collected through a problem-solving test and interview. This data collection was done before and after the implementation of learning model LAPS-Heuristic. Based on the description and analysis of the test, it can be seen that the development of mathematical problem solving ability of students increased at the time of the final test. The results of the assessment under the rubric of mathematical problem solving, showcased very satisfactory level categories with indicators of achievement: understand the question correctly, the correct completion of strategic plans, leading to a correct answer and rechecking their calculation. Hence, it can be concluded that the model of LAPS-Heuristic affects the ability of Mathematical Problem Solving of Tenth Graders at SMAN 2 Batag Anai. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pembelajaran dimensi tiga dengan menggunakan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) di SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Raja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian desain. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X D yang terdiri dari 26 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumen dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil tes, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa siswa lebih senang dengan pembelajaran dimensi tiga dengan menggunakan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia di SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Raja. Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal bangun datar menggunakan kategori kesalahan Watson. Studi ini menggunakan studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Studi ini dilakukan di kelas VII F SMP Negeri 10 Tanjungpinang tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 38 siswa. Data didapatkan dari hasil jawaban tertulis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh siswa melakukan (1) kesalahan data tidak tepat (inappropriate data/id) sebebesar 54,29%, (2) kesalahan prosedur tidak tepat (innappropriate procedure/ip) sebesar 18,86%, (3) kesalahan data hilang (ommited data/ od) sebesar 6,86%, (4) kesalahan kesimpulan hilang (ommited conclusion) sebesar 7,43%, (5) kesalahan konflik level respon (response level conflict) sebesar 15,43%, (6) kesalahan manipulasi tidak langsung (undirected manipulation) tidak ditemukan pada jawaban siswa, (7) kesalahan masalah hirarki keterampilan (skill hierarchy problem) sebesar 38,29%. Kata Kunci: studi deskriptif kualitatif, kategori kesalahan menurut Watson. This study was conducted to analyze students’ error while solving problems of two dimensional object by using Watson error categorization. This qualitative study is presented descriptively. The study was undertaken in class VII F of SMP Negeri 10 Tanjungpinang in academic year 2015/2016. There were 38 students participating in this study. Data was obtained from students’ answer on written test. Based on analysis result, it was obtained that students emerged (1) 54.29% for inappropriate data; (2) 18.86% for inappropriate procedure; (3) 6.86% for omitted data; (4) 7.43% for omitted conclusion; (5) 15.43% for response level conflict; (6) 0% for undirected manipulation; (7) 38.29% for skill hierarchy problem.
